A gait analysis is a scientific method for recording your unique foot profile and walking pattern. This information can provide the advisers with a great deal of information. Where is the greatest impact; do you land on your heels, the centre of your foot or the front of your foot; do you have fallen or raised arches; do you over or under pronate? Even the risk of specific injuries (shin splints, Achilles tendon problems, knee issues, hip or back complaints) can be assessed in this manner.
The foot pattern and gait is used by the adviser to establish the best shoe choice. In order to be sure that the shoes are perfect for you, the various models are tested one-by-one on a thirty metre test track. This not only checks the subjective experience (fit and stability) but also the objective results from the footscan® technology.
This gait analysis is free when you buy a pair of shoes from Runners’ Lab.
