Once you get to know our northern neighbour Paul Jeurissen, you won’t be surprised to find out that he met his now wife on the other side of the world, during one of his many cycling holidays. Crazy about cycling but also about all of the cultures and landscapes that you can discover by bike.
In the nineties, he decided to specialise in cycling images and developed a new photographic style: the small red cyclist.
“These images show how it feels for a small cyclist to ride through the world’s vast, overwhelming landscape.”
Since 1981, Paul and Grace have completed numerous cycling and photography trips; a total of over 4 years, across 4 continents, and in 2010 they left for a journey that would last several years; “Cycling around the world, looking for inspirational cycling images.”
The challenge is to find diverse cycling cultures and photograph the locations where they cycle.
