The 10 golden rules of stretching!


  1. NEVER stretch cold muscles! Always warm-up before stretching.
  2. NEVER stretch ballistic!
  3. Increase the tension gradually until you feel a light stretch. Stretching should NEVER be painful!
  4. Try to relax when stretching.
  5. Make sure you start in a stable position.
  6. Maintain this position for 30 seconds.
  7. Keep breathing gently.
  8. Slowly return from the stretching position.
  9. Repeat each exercise 3 to 5 times.
  10. Integrate stretching into your warm-up and cool-down routines.
