
- NEVER stretch cold muscles! Always warm-up before stretching.
- NEVER stretch ballistic!
- Increase the tension gradually until you feel a light stretch. Stretching should NEVER be painful!
- Try to relax when stretching.
- Make sure you start in a stable position.
- Maintain this position for 30 seconds.
- Keep breathing gently.
- Slowly return from the stretching position.
- Repeat each exercise 3 to 5 times.
- Integrate stretching into your warm-up and cool-down routines.
