I subscribed to get tips and tricks for better sleeping habits. The most interesting things I’ve learned are the different periods of sleep and the influence of your hormonal balance on your sleep. The workshop definitely helped me sleep better. Now I don’t get annoyed anymore when I wake up early during the weekends as I’ve learned that it’s normal to wake up at the same time every day because I wake up early during weekdays. Knowing that, it made me no longer a snoozer on weekends.

I’ve experienced some issues with my sleep over the past couple of years. Mostly waking up in the middle of the night and having difficulties to get back to sleep. The thing that stuck with me the most was the 2 x 20’ rule of thumb: if you’re awake for 20 minutes, get up and do something ‘boring’ during 20 minutes. I also learned about the importance of the later phases of sleep for mental recovery. The workshop also motivated me to completely get off coffee. Time will tell how much of a difference that makes.
It’s a really great initiative! Regarding this specific workshop, it’s a bit of a pity that there were so few people. So this is a call on my colleagues for the upcoming sessions!
